I HATE SHOPPING, HOW CAN YOU HELP?

Most of my clients hate shopping too but everyone who works with me is amazed about how much fun they actually end up having. Besides the fun, I will help you to save time, money and headspace by expertly editing a collection of outfits that will provide a sense of clarity and confidence that comes from having something to wear every day that makes you look and feel incredible. The best part? When we enter a store, I’ve already set up the dressing room for you- there is literally no searching through racks!

DO I HAVE TO BUY A WHOLE NEW WARDROBE?

Not necessarily. The process I use is designed to identify your exact style needs. Together we will work out whether you need to build the foundations of a new wardrobe or whether you are looking to add key pieces to an existing collection that simply needs a little tweaking. 

IS IT JUST PROFESSIONAL CLOTHING OR IS IT CASUAL AS WELL?

It is whatever YOU need it to be. The key to an effortless wardrobe is to have clothes that serve you across all areas of life. So, my priority is to deliver a collection of clothes that perfectly fit your entire lifestyle whether that includes professional clothing, casual clothing and/or something in between. After working with me, you will be completely ready for whatever your day/night/ afternoon/weekend brings. 

HOW MUCH WILL I NEED TO SPEND ON CLOTHES?

While this is different for every client, you are likely to spend around $2,000-$3,000/season if you want to achieve a premium style solution. This includes shoes and accessories. While other stylists work with smaller budgets (and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that) I have found that my clients get the best value and return on investment from my premium, customised services when they work with a larger budget. 

DO YOU RECEIVE COMMISSIONS FROM STORES?

I pride myself on providing a customised solution to each of my clients and so there is no way I would accept commissions to shop with clients at any particular store! 

DO YOU RECEIVE DISCOUNTS FROM STORES?

I will never take clients to stores that do not align with their ideal style solution. However, if the store does happen to align with that solution, then that’s a win for everyone and my stylist discount will be passed on in full.

WHAT AGES DO YOU WORK WITH?

Any age however teenagers do require written parental or guardian permission and they would then be required to accompany the teenager and be present for the entire styling session.

DO YOU WORK WITH MEN AND WOMEN?

Whilst I love to have an opinion about men and their style my expertise lies with styling women that work (whether that is in the office, home duties or out in the field etc) and helping them fall back in love with their wardrobe and themselves.

DO YOU OFFER VIRTUAL SERVICES?

There are lots of stylists out there offering a virtual solution however the reason I love my job so much is the face-to-face contact allows us to build a rapport that simply cannot be matched over a screen.  So, whilst there are some aspects to the services I offer that I do conduct behind the scenes, the real magic happens when we are together in person. 

DOES THE STYLING SERVICE FEE INCLUDE CLOTHING PURCHASES

The styling service fee is for the service that I deliver to you. You shopping budget is additional.

I’M TRYING TO LOSE/PUT ON WEIGHT SHOULD I WAIT BEFORE I BOOK?

I work with women of all sizes from petite to plus.  The best advice I can give you is that your proportions don’t change, regardless of the size on the label. For that reason, I encourage you to start from where you are today. 

WHERE WILL WE SHOP?

Chadstone, Emporium CBD or Westfield Doncaster are my main shopping haunts but if you have somewhere else in mind, like a boutique strip, for example, we can discuss that during our StyleStart call.  Please note I do not take clients to thrift or op shops as it’s a real roll of the dice as to what you will find at any given time in these stores so it is not an effective use of your time and virtually impossible for me to do any pre-shop research or purchasing for you.  After our work together you will be equipped with knowledge about the styles, shapes and colours that suit you so that  you can peruse those shops to your heart’s desire and find all the hidden gems.

 

Please note this is primarily a Melbourne based service.  In addition, the personal shopping experience is generally in Melbourne based stores so you will be required, unless otherwise agreed, to travel to Melbourne, at your own expense, for that part of the service.

WHAT DAYS OF THE WEEK DO YOU WORK?

I see clients Wednesday, Thursday and Friday during business hours.  In limited circumstances I am available for after hours consultations however this is subject to availability and will incur an additional fee of $300 plus GST. It is recommended bookings are made well in advance to secure your booking. 

WHAT DO I NEED TO PREPARE PRIOR TO OUR CONSULTATIONS?

Once you have made your booking, you’ll receive a personal link to your very own SuperStyler portal where you can complete your Style Development Brief,  enabling me to understand your personal styling goals and best prepare for our work together.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I’M LATE FOR MY CONSULTATION?

It is your responsibility to ensure you arrive on time to ensure we achieve the best result for you. If you are late your consultation will still conclude at the original end time. If you would like some more time on the day and I can accommodate it, extra time will be charged at $75 for every additional 30 mins or part thereof. 

HOW FAR DO YOU TRAVEL FOR A CONSULTATION AND DO FEES APPLY?

I travel free of charge within 50 kms of Melbourne CBD. If you are located outside that zone a travel fee of $50/hour will apply.  

Some examples of areas that incur additional travel fees include Geelong, Ballarat, Pakenham, Coldstream, Yarraglen.
